Daily Word: Psalm 27:1

“The Lord is my light and my salvation.” Ps 27:1

Jesus died in the darkness, so we can live in the light.

The Bible begins with God bringing light into the darkness, and it ends with all darkness ultimately being defeated. But in the middle, there is a battle. One of the key plot tensions of the Bible and of our life is the battle between the light and the darkness. 

The darkness:

1. Distorts
2. Disorients
3. Depresses

And if not defeated, it will destroy.

So, how can it be defeated?

Jesus dies in the darkness so we can live in the light!
