Our Vision for Lake Nona
Lake Nona is a unique place. It is an ambitious, master-planned community that seeks to be the home of world-class medical education, state-of-the-art biotech research, and professional athletic training centers. It is a community dedicated to sustainable design and healthy living, with ambitious aspirations and an exciting future. Trinity Church of Lake Nona exists to help turn those horizontal aspirations vertical.
The significance of the Trinity logo
Looking at the Lake Nona logo you will notice that the waves are all horizontal. Trinity’s logo takes those waves and turns them vertical because, as Saint Augustine prayed 1,600 hundred years ago, "Our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee. We also believe our affections and aspirations are misdirected until they point to Thee."
Why the name Trinity?
Why the name Trinity? Because the Trinity is the most important reality in all of life. The entire Christian belief system, all that God has revealed to us, stands or falls with the confession of God as Trinity. It is the core of the Christian faith, the root of all our beliefs, and the basic content of the new covenant. It is here that we experience the love of the Father, the grace of the Son, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
All good gifts flow from the hand of the Triune God. We begin the Christian life by being baptized into the name of the Trinity, and in that name we find structure for our minds, peace for our hearts, light for our life, and rest for our souls.
The glory of the Christian life is that we have a God who is above us, before us, and with us. The story of the Christian life is that this is God’s good world, ruined by sin, redeemed by the Son, and being recreated by the Holy Spirit. Our goal at Trinity is to help you find your place in that grand story.
