Why are you here?

Isaiah 43:1-7

Historian Carl Truman says: Today, there is perhaps no more pressing a topic than identity. Whether we are speaking about race, ethnicity, or sexuality and how they shape political discourse, or about our own personal sense of self and how that informs our day-to-day lives, the question of identity is omnipresent, all-pervasive, and deeply influential.

And the question is: Why? Why is the issue of identity one of the defining issues of our day?

Today we are continuing our series “Called and Created.” We will look at one of the most powerful, identity-shaping passages in the Bible: Isaiah 43:1-7.

If you are going to experience the transforming power of the gospel, the foundational reality, that must be worked down into the depth of your being is how deeply you are loved by God.
