The amazing thing about the psalms is that they don’t just give you the power for prayer they also give you a pattern to pray.

They show you how to take one truth about God, remind yourself of who He is and what He has done, and then they show you how to filter your present experience through that truth. 

They match up His character with your need. And when these two things come together, transformation happens.
